Bookkeeper will provide support to the accounting team at Hunter International. This position requires a very organized, detailed-oriented individual who is comfortable with maintaining a prioritized weekly routine.  This role will also get exposure to all aspects of running a multi-state, staffing business.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
  • Create manual invoices and batch enter electronic invoices into QuickBooks
  • Follow up on past due invoices
  • Provide monthly diversity data and other monthly reports requested by clients
  • Prepare monthly ACA billing to client
  • Audit background check invoices and bill back to clients
  • Audit and enter bills to vendors in QuickBooks
  • Open mail and distribute to appropriate personnel
  • Follow up on draft and pending approval timesheets
  • Assist with payroll entry and review
  • Prep bank deposit
  • Monitor profit-sharing plan distribution paperwork
  • Complete employment verifications and wage audits
  • Record PTO

Bookkeeper Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other relevant business degree preferred
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Microsoft Office suite program experience
  • Strong detail orientation and quality focus
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication, email & memo writing skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload on multiple projects & events simultaneously
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and meet business deadlines
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees, vendors, and clients
