The Account Manager will support Sales & Marketing efforts for new development of non-automotive business for plastics materials throughout North America. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience within the plastics industry, and strong experience working with non-automotive industry customers.

Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Act as the lead interface with non-automotive OEMs customers to drive new business. Account manager will interface with Purchasing, Engineering and R&D personnel at each customer.
  • Identify and prioritize key customers within North America to target, creation of action plans to grow business/relationship with each customer and report quarterly ‘priority’ action plans to management and sales team.
  • Responsibility for program management function for key future projects including meeting timing, budget, and customer expectations. Support to include attending customer meetings, summarizing meeting minutes, creation of customer presentations, reporting to internal team during weekly project meetings.
  • Responsibility within 180 days of hiring to creation of regional market study to assess key non-automotive customers, key markets, and key competitors in different resin spaces.
  • Attend customer molding trials and document processing results and working with Technical Services and CAE Sr. Manager to ensure that a proper level of preparation occurs to ensure successful trials.
  • Assisting with technical shows & conferences, as requested.
  • Assisting sales and R&D team to understand new material development/approval opportunities.
  • Report progress with customers, projects, through specified reporting tools, (WIG, Key Project Meeting). Keep up to date Customer Profiles, customer visit reports for all customers as assigned.
  • Carefully learn and understand material offerings and understand our material strengths versus competitor grades through on-the-job training and by working closely with internal R&D team.

Account Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a 4-year program at an ABET accredited college. 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales role in the plastics industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with working directly with non-automotive customers on thermoplastic products or minimum of 2 years’ experience working directly with non-automotive OEMs.
  • Minimum of 2 production programs supported from concept to production.
  • Strong communication skills through a number of means including verbally, PowerPoint and email. 
  • Strong internal cooperation and team player focus, with emphasis on project success rather than individual successes.
