Purchasing Professional Responsibilities:
    • Prepare procurement documents like ITBs, RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, ensuring compliance with industry trends and regulations.
    • Collaborate with county agencies to develop procurement timelines and review specifications and evaluation criteria.
    • Conduct pre-bid and pre-proposal conferences, manage addenda and clarifications, and respond to vendor inquiries.
    • Facilitate bid and proposal openings, creating bid tabulation sheets and analyzing responsiveness and deficiencies.
    • Identify project stakeholders and serve as a liaison for contracts and competitive procurements.
    • Schedule and manage virtual and in-person meetings, supporting vendor outreach and professional development initiatives.
Purchasing Professional Qualifications:
    • Preference for purchasing certifications like NIGP-CPP, CPPB, C.P.M, CFCM, A.P.P., or CPPO.
    • Knowledge of government competitive procurement processes and budgeting.
    • Proficiency in computers (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office equipment operations.
    • Ability to understand practical field of study, use statistical analysis, and maintain accurate records.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public relations and professional correspondence.
    • Ability to work independently and with county stakeholders, handling inquiries from various levels of contacts.
    • Associate’s Degree in Public Administration, paralegal studies, business administration, or related field, along with three years of purchasing-related experience, or equivalent training and experience.
