IT Business and Data Analyst will be the critical conduit between IT and business, ensuring the technology teams fully understand business issues and initiatives and conveying back to the business, critical technology related challenges, helping achieve the right technology based outcomes for the business.

IT Business and Data Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Build strong working relationships with business and technology teams, acting as the trusted advisor across both groups
  • Gain thorough understanding of business processes and how technology systems are used to support these processes
  • Collect business and technical requirements for prioritised technology initiatives
  • Document as-is and to-be process maps that improve efficiencies
  • Work with the UI designer to develop technology user interfaces that improve overall user experiences 
  • Develop and automate reports and dashboards using standard Business Intelligence tools
  • Work with the testing team to ensure test cases meet defined requirements
  • Support user acceptance testing process while business users test and actually perform testing when required
  • Train business users on use of new technology
  • Lead resolution of functional issues with technology systems, supported by the service delivery team

IT Business and Data Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelors’ degree in Business, Computer Science, or Information Technology preferred, but not required.
    • Graduate or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Business related discipline, or related disciplines will be advantageous
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in the technology industry
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as Business Analyst, preferably within a supply chain function
  • Strong understanding of various processes supporting supply chain based functions 
  • Strong experience leading and participating in agile based technology project delivery
  • Strong stakeholder management and business relationship building skills
  • Ability to lead strategic business and technology discussions and convert them to initiatives that provide real business value
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong change management and user training skills
