The Epidemiology Data Analyst will provide critical epidemiologic insights to inform new product innovation, product reformulation, and long-term company strategy.

Epidemiology Data Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Work with R&D partners to scope and plan analyses of epidemiological data to answer critical questions.
  • Develop and implement statistical analysis plans in support of peer-reviewed scientific publications.
  • Build scalable code using Stata, R, SAS or Python to produce formatted and easy to share tables/reports for key epidemiological data from large publicly-available surveys, including NHANES, BRFSS, NDNS (UK), PoF (Brazil), etc.
  • Identify opportunities for and develop data linkages between publicly-available surveys and market-research data.

Epidemiology Data Analyst Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in quantitative field required preferably with a master’s degree in epidemiology/biostatistics.
  • Advanced working knowledge of one or more of the following statistical software packages: Stata, SAS, R, Python.
  • Experience building analytical-ready databases from complex and large data structure.
  • Experience analyzing and working with the following types of data, approaches or software are an added plus: complex survey data, meta-analysis, data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Shiny, or similar.
  • Topical interest and expertise in nutrition, sports/exercise science, obesity, and/or chronic disease outcome.
  • Some experience with supervised machine learning algorithms, including, but not limited to decision trees, random forests, K-nearest neighbors, LASSO and boosting.
