Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety standards.
  • Comply with all safety requirements resulting in zero safety violations. This includes participating in all safety related activities such as safety toolbox talks, safety observations, audits, etc.
  • Be familiar with and must keep current with compliance to all Company, local, and state codes.
  • Assist in complete installation of equipment and systems.
  • General knowledge of electrical systems, utilities and safety systems.
  • Be able to fabricate using proper tools.
  • General facilities repair. Plumbing, lights, ceiling tiles, painting.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Rebuild valves, pumps, gearboxes and other various equipment.
  • Operate LWTP (liquid waste treatment plant) when needed.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Operate with a flexible work schedule including off shifts and in on-call situations.
  • Maintain accurate records, completing daily shift logs as well as parts inventory sign out sheet.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues within the process or facility.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Requirements:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • 2 years’ experience working in a similar capacity at a manufacturing or production facility
  • 2 years’ experience working with basic electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
  • General knowledge of working with control circuits. 4-20 milli-amp, 24vdc 110vac, 480vac
  • Must be able to work from prints.
  • Proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
  • 2 years’ Boiler, compressed air systems.
  • Knowledge and proper use of hand tools, power tools.
  • Ability to work proactively and support other personnel and departments.
  • Properly use multi-meters for troubleshooting.
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D
