The Warehouse Associate is involved in all facets of seed production within a location.
Responsibilities:
- Activities may require bending and lifting and long periods of sitting or standing.
- Indoor seed processing and packaging activities may include receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling or warehousing seed.
- Outdoor activities may include harvest receiving.
- May be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas.
- Manufacturing (Production) positions may also include organizing, moving and placing seed into storage, maintaining inventory accuracy utilizing electronic inventory systems.
- Extended hours may be requested during the peak seasons.
- Must be able to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions delivered in English, and to perform assigned tasks accurately.
- Must be able to adhere to all client SOPs and to support all site safety requirements.
- Previous experience with MS Office / Excel and other standard computer and software systems may be required.
- Basic mechanical ability / understanding of equipment maintenance (able to operate and trouble shoot equipment) 1-3 Years of Experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and / or related experience preferred
- PPE required & not provided- Shirt w/ sleeves, long pants, safety toe shoes
- PPE required & provided - High vis, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves
- Depending on your position, your shift may rotate in January.
- First Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday – Friday (May require Saturday work once a month)
- Second Shift: 3:30pm - 2:00am Sunday - Thursday (May require Friday work once a month)
