Energy Engineer Responsibilities:
- Utility bill tabulation, analysis of rate structure and regression analysis
- Benchmarking using Energy Star Portfolio Manager and CBECs Data and Other Databases
- Review existing building drawings, identify potential energy conservation measures (ECMs) and field verify existing conditions
- Field verification to identify and document: Potential ECMs, Operational and usage characteristics of the facility, and Low-cost / no-cost and behavioral based opportunities
- Development of energy and water savings calculations using one or more of the following: whole building energy modeling and Data based algorithm analysis in Excel
- Develop detailed and rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimates
- Develop report, tables, graphs
- Develop financial models including life cycle cost analysis, cash flow models, internal rates of return and return on investment
Energy Engineer Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience energy audits or energy modeling.
- Knowledgeable in HVAC controls, Building Automation Systems, Site Inspections.
- Experience with Carrier HAP, a plus.
- Licensed Professional Engineer, a plus.
- Anticipated 15% travel.
- Due to client requirements - Full security clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science from an ABET accredited college or university.
