Field Research Assistant supports seed regulatory science by processing plant material in a laboratory setting.

Field Research Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes lab software systems to track samples and record data related to sample handling and processing.
  • Ensures the work areas are maintained to keep the work environment safe and minimize contamination risk.
  • Performs all work in accordance with company safety policies, as well as Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Best Practices, and Protocols as to protect the quality and integrity of samples and raw data.
  • Work environment includes working in walk-in freezers (-5°F temperature) for short periods of time, working with frozen samples and handling dry ice occasionally.
  • Candidate will gain experience in operating lyophilizers, various blenders/grinders, and analytical balances as well as build LIMS software skills.
Field Research Assistant Requirements:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s in biological science required.
  • Candidates with tissue processing or food manufacturing experience, warehouse operations, and/or inventory management are highly desired.
  • Experience working under GLP or USDA biotech regulation is also a plus.
