Laboratory Technician will conduct product testing, analyze data, and improve lab processes. This position will report to the Lab Leader.

Laboratory Technician Responsibilities:
  • Execute material and product testing safely.
  • Prepares materials and products pre-test and re-packaging post-test.
  • Provides feedback on improving testing efficiency.
  • Follow standardized processes for executing tests.
  • Clearly articulate the results and analysis informally/formally to testing lead.
  • Utilize LIMS to store data and track lab usage identifying customer use rate for each division of the business.
  • Analyze data and reports results (according to capabilities).
  • Support process improvement in the laboratory.
  • Develop process improvements utilizing hardware, software, and documentation tools.
  • Develop process tools to improve quality.

Laboratory Technician Requirements:
  • Associates degree required, bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in manufacturing or laboratory environment is preferred.
  • Prior laboratory experience in ASTM/ISO/IEC/ANSI Thermal, Acoustic, or Fire testing helpful.
  • Experience with constructing, assembling, or producing equipment for a specific purpose.
  • Experience with CAD, 3D Printing, and/or programming preferred.
  • Proficient in using a computer including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to repetitively lift objects up to 40 lbs. and stand for a large portion of the day.
