Safety Representative will be responsible for reiterating safety protocols  and regulations in the workplace to prevent potential hazards and operational delays.

Safety Representative Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Contractor Safety Audits
  • Issue Core Permits, Electrical Authorizations, Hot Work Permits, etc.
  • Serve as Safety Lookout during live electrical panel work
  • Maintain inspection records for electrical safety gloves and arc flash suit
  • Conduct regular inspections for: eye wash, GFCI, shop jack and fire extinguishers
  • Ensure that STOP Audits are recorded and added to company database
  • Upload CMV hours to company database
  • Assist with writing Lockout/Tagout Procedures
  • Assist with documentation of SDS
  • Communicate with contractors to ensure they have correct licensing
  • Conduct monthly vehicle inspections of pool vehicles
  • Assist with the development of Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures (LOTOPs)
  • Conduct Walking Working Surface Inspections
  • Assist with facilitation for FS&RE monthly safety meetings
  • Work closely with EH&S Safety SMEs for both Personal Safety and Industrial Hygiene
  • Conduct monthly vehicle inspections of pool vehicles
  • Assist in Instructor Led EH&S trainings for FS&RE personnel
Safety Representative Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or related working experience
  • Experience working in Agriculture or Research Center preferred
  • Knowledge of Safety Programs
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong desire to work safely and help others to work safely
