Open to a new challenge? Our clients fast-growing 3-year young US business is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and knowledgeable sales manager for their ophthalmic lens wholesale business. You will be responsible for developing new and existing business, achieving sales objectives, and increasing revenues with optical laboratories, distributors, and integrated retailers. The compensation is a mix of base salary and performance-based commission.
Our client manufactures using a wide range of lens designs and materials utilizing our own internal research, testing and development teams delivering on new technologies and processes. Our manufacturing facilities are in the world’s largest optical commerce zone. This provides many opportunities for successful and ongoing collaboration with suppliers and technology.
Optical Lens Sales Director Expectations:
- Build and develop an Industry leading Sales Team
- Build long-term professional relationships with our key lab partners
- Expand market penetration by acquiring new accounts
- Prospect, negotiate and close sales deals
- Promote the benefits of directly working with a lens manufacturer
- Build sales forecast with the main customers
- Have a customer-oriented mind
- Listen and understand customer needs, to solve issues in a timely manner, to bring suggestions
- Work with the management on the sales strategy
- Report every week to the general manager on sales figures, opportunities, and issues
- Schedule visits to key optical laboratories and arrive on time at appointments
- Share any information with the distribution center to perform an excellent service
- Facilitate the return of any defective product according to company policy
Optical Sales Director Experience:
- At least 5 years of successful optical lenses sales and team management experience.
- Optical lens industry knowledge required, an experience as sales manager or representative at a major lens company would be a strength
