The Analytical Chemist will support research, development, technical service, and manufacturing activities by performing analytical testing and laboratory support tasks. This role involves preparing samples, operating instrumentation, and ensuring accurate data collection under the direction of technical staff
 
Analytical Chemist Responsibilities:
• Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for analysis, following established procedures
• Acquire and assess basic data quality using XRD instrumentation
• Perform X-ray tomography data acquisition and verify data accuracy
• Operate electron microscopy equipment and evaluate basic data quality
• Conduct particle and energetics testing (e.g., particle size, density, contact angle, surface tension, surface area)
• Perform routine operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments
• Handle and dispose of laboratory waste in accordance with safety protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked laboratory environment
 
Analytical Chemist Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant work experience
• Experience working in a chemical laboratory setting with various lab equipment
• Strong skills in sample preparation and safe handling of chemicals
• Ability to work effectively with others under tight timelines and shifting priorities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality data
