Assembler Overview:
As an Assembler, you will support manufacturing operations by assembling details, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies according to instructions. You will work with hand tools, bench tools, and power tools to perform assembly, soldering, brazing, and testing functions while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Assembler Responsibilities:
- Assemble details, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies using hand tools, bench tools, and power tools.
- Load and unload contacts, solder shims or paste, and conductors on carbon assembly boats for furnace brazing.
- Load and unload carbon assembly boats on belt furnace for brazing.
- Perform simple electrical and mechanical tests, including ground and dielectric testing.
- Conduct soldering, cut insulation to size, strip and assemble leads, cut loops and form wires, and wash material with solvent.
- Operate riveters, squeezers, drill presses, spinners, tappers, belt sanders, and bench grinders.
- Load and unload automatic and semi-automatic equipment.
- Perform detailing operations as instructed.
- Check for defective work, report issues, and ensure defective equipment is reported.
- Move materials as required to support production flow.
- Make up cartons, pack, stamp, or label assemblies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work scheduled hours as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior manufacturing knowledge or experience in a production environment. #INDCRS
