The Audio Visual Technician plays a critical role in supporting the organization with collaboration platforms and technologies. This position is responsible for ensuring the collaboration systems, including MS Teams Video Rooms and related collaboration tools are functioning. The role also includes managing corporate conference rooms and collaboration spaces, as well as supporting employees both in the corporate environment and in the field. The analyst will ensure that all hardware, software, and applications required for effective meetings and collaboration are available and functioning at all times.

The Audio Visual Technician plays a critical role in supporting the organization with collaboration platforms and technologies. This position is responsible for ensuring the collaboration systems, including MS Teams Video Rooms and related collaboration tools are functioning. The role also includes managing corporate conference rooms and collaboration spaces, as well as supporting employees both in the corporate environment and in the field. The analyst will ensure that all hardware, software, and applications required for effective meetings and collaboration are available and functioning at all times.
Audio Visual Technician Responsibilities:
- Review IT AV collaboration processes, evaluate results, recommend new technologies, and promote best practices.
- Collaborate with outside AV and collaboration vendors on existing and new project requests.
- Provide support for IT Audio Visual Collaboration requests including conference room setups, video conferencing, MS Teams Video, Cisco and Polycom VoIP phone support, and overall conference room management.
- Manage conference room setup requests from simple technology requests to complex meeting set-ups involving AV hardware, conference room hardware, and collaboration software.
- Partner with key stakeholders to understand and deliver on their AV and collaboration needs.
- Conduct daily checks for conference rooms and MS Teams Video Rooms.
- Provide daily onsite meeting support for end users requesting assistance.
- Monitor and respond to Remedy Force tickets and tasks related to AV and collaboration support.
- Serve as an escalation point for all Conference Room AV Collaboration issues and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
- Maintain and update IT AV Collaboration training guides and instructions placed in conference rooms.
- Act as subject matter expert on collaboration tools such as MS Teams, including training and support.
- Assist Technical Integration Analysts with IT inventory, new hire PC setups, and software installations.
- Provide backup support to the IT help desk team as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in IT, IS, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the following areas:
- Corporate Help Desk support
- Conference room technical support
- AV and video conferencing support - MS Teams Video
- Experience with MS Teams/MS Live Events and Zoom collaboration tools strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting MS Office 365 and/or Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Drive) required.
