The Bench Scientist is a motivated associate scientist contractor who would support scientists conducting spatial biology experiments aimed at advancing antibody-based therapeutic research. The successful candidate will have experience in core histology methodologies, including processing, embedding, and sectioning. This role is well-suited for someone who is enthusiastic about hands-on lab work and adaptable when collaborating with different investigators across multiple projects.


Bench Scientist Responsibilities:
  • Process samples for downstream histological analysis.
  • Perform routine histology lab maintenance.
  • Conduct immunohistochemistry experiments using autostainers.
  • Maintain and catalog a biospecimen repository.
  • Document experiments using a LIMS system.

Bench Scientist Requirements:
  • 1–2+ years of laboratory experience.
  • BS or BA in a biological science.
  • Experience with histopathology techniques.
  • Sectioning experience is a plus; preference given to Histology Technicians (HTs).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional research environment.
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Quick learner with eagerness to develop new skills and technologies.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a proactive mindset.
