A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to develop, implement, and oversee the firm’s employee benefits programs. Reporting to the Director of Administration, this role ensures all programs are competitive, compliant, cost effective, and aligned with the needs of employees and the strategic goals of the firm.
You’ll manage health, retirement, insurance, and wellness programs; handle vendor relationships and employee communication; and play a key role in shaping the overall HR strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, ensuring they remain competitive and support firm goals.
- Manage relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants; negotiate contracts and drive cost effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
- Lead open enrollment, employee communication, and education on benefits options and utilization.
- Oversee day to day benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and resolving employee issues.
- Analyze benefits data to assess program effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Develop and manage the benefits budget while maintaining financial stability of programs.
- Contribute to broader HR strategy by providing insights and recommendations related to benefits programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits programs (health, retirement, insurance).
- Proven experience managing benefits programs and leading initiatives or teams.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
