CVICU RN Job Description
This CVICU RN role is on a 26-bed cardiac thoracic vascular unit. Nurses must have at least 2 years of recent open-heart experience and be comfortable floating as needed. Epic experience within the last year is required and must be listed on the resume. Ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3. Nurses must be independent in drawing labs and starting IVs.

CVICU RN Key Responsibilities:
- Care for cardiac thoracic vascular patients in a 26-bed CVICU
- Float as needed within scope
- Obtain labs and initiate IVs
- Document in Epic EMR
CVICU RN Requirements:
- Active RN license in Ohio
- 2+ years of recent open-heart RN experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required
- Epic experience within the past year (must be on resume)
- CVICU skills checklist required upon submission
