The Case Manager will join their Workers' Compensation team in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will work closely with attorneys and clients to help manage workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution, ensuring files remain organized and deadlines are met.
Case Manager Responsibilities
- Open new workers' compensation case files and collect initial client information.
- Request, receive, and organize medical records, wage statements, independent medical examination (IME) reports, and other case documentation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, physicians, employers, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) and Industrial Commission (IC) representatives.
- Maintain accurate, organized electronic case files and documentation.
- Track case activity, deadlines, and required follow-up to ensure timely case progression.
- Provide administrative and case management support to attorneys throughout the lifecycle of workers' compensation matters.
- Deliver compassionate, responsive service to clients while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Case Manager Requirements
- 1–3 years of administrative, customer service, legal support, or case management experience preferred.
- Legal, paralegal, or workers' compensation experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple active files and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Experience with case management software is preferred, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Associate's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow.
