Chemical Engineer

Chemical Engineer will process operations teams in clearing this backlog while driving mid- to long-term improvement initiatives focused on process reliability, operations, and training. This role is primarily project- and improvement-focused, with responsibilities largely outside of daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with site technical and operations teams to resolve outstanding PHA, MOC, optimization, and other action items across four chemical processes.
- Complete technical definition, validation, and reporting of environmental data required for permitting and annual regulatory reporting.
- Review and update plant documentation, including startup, shutdown, and operations procedures as well as P&IDs, to improve clarity and usability.
- Develop, document, and execute pressure safety design packages.
- Partner with plant engineering teams to scope, document, and define implementation plans for process and reliability improvement projects.
- Support enhancements to plant training programs, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience in process measurement, chemical processes, or applications within manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes, with the ability to analyze problems, make recommendations, and provide technical resolutions
- Understanding of OSHA PSM and EPA RMP requirements and associated risk management techniques
- Ability to lead small groups as well as work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in technical and non-technical contexts
- Proficiency with intermediate computer skills (MS Office, data systems, etc.)
