Position Summary

Working closely with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel, this role directly impacts part quality, cycle time, and shop efficiency. Experience with ESPRIT CAM software is a plus. This is a hands-on programming role for someone who knows their way around the shop floor as well as the screen.

This is a hands-on programming role for someone who knows their way around the shop floor as well as the screen.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and optimize CNC programs using ESPRIT CAM software.
- Program 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models to develop accurate machining strategies.
- Develop setup sheets, tooling lists, and process documentation.
- Troubleshoot programming and machining issues on the shop floor.
- Optimize cycle times while maintaining part quality and tool life.
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of CNC programming experience.
- Experience programming CNC mills, lathes, or mill-turn machines.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
- Solid knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
- Familiarity with Fanuc, Nakamura, Okuma, or similar CNC controls.
- 5-axis programming experience.
- Strong proficiency with ESPRIT CAM software.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or precision machining.
- Experience with CAD software and solid models (SolidWorks, STEP, IGES, etc.).
- Experience with automation or multi-tasking machines.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
