Construction Inspection Technician Responsibilities
- Perform construction inspection and testing activities related to earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and utility construction.
- Conduct field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soils, concrete, and asphalt.
- Inspect construction work to verify compliance with project specifications, plans, and quality standards.
- Document test results, observations, and inspection findings through detailed reports and project records.
- Assist with materials sampling, quantity verification, and construction documentation.
- Support engineers and project teams during field investigations and construction activities.
- Identify and communicate non-conforming work when observed.
- Travel to project sites as required and work safely in varying weather and field conditions.
Construction Inspection Technician Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in construction inspection, materials testing, civil construction, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Understanding of construction practices, engineering principles, or quality control processes.
- Experience with field or laboratory testing of construction materials is a plus.
- Familiarity with roadway, bridge, utility, or infrastructure construction is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both field and office environments.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Industry certifications such as ACI, NICET, ICC, CWI, or DOT certifications are a plus but not required.
