Construction Inspection Technician Overview
We are seeking a Construction Inspection Technician to support construction inspection, materials testing, and quality control activities on infrastructure projects. This role offers a combination of field, laboratory, and office work, providing hands-on experience with roadway, bridge, utility, and other civil construction projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and is interested in developing a career in construction inspection and engineering services.

Construction Inspection Technician Responsibilities
  • Perform construction inspection and testing activities related to earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and utility construction.
  • Conduct field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soils, concrete, and asphalt.
  • Inspect construction work to verify compliance with project specifications, plans, and quality standards.
  • Document test results, observations, and inspection findings through detailed reports and project records.
  • Assist with materials sampling, quantity verification, and construction documentation.
  • Support engineers and project teams during field investigations and construction activities.
  • Identify and communicate non-conforming work when observed.
  • Travel to project sites as required and work safely in varying weather and field conditions.

Construction Inspection Technician Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in construction inspection, materials testing, civil construction, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Understanding of construction practices, engineering principles, or quality control processes.
  • Experience with field or laboratory testing of construction materials is a plus.
  • Familiarity with roadway, bridge, utility, or infrastructure construction is preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both field and office environments.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Industry certifications such as ACI, NICET, ICC, CWI, or DOT certifications are a plus but not required.
