Overview:
The Cook prepares, portions, and serves food according to production sheets and recipes while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and sanitation. This role also supports tray assembly, delivery/pick-up, and dish room operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare hot and cold food items per recipes and production sheets.

  • Portion and plate food attractively and accurately.

  • Operate kitchen equipment (ovens, grills, processors, etc.).

  • Support trayline: assemble, deliver, pick up, and disassemble patient trays.

  • Assist nutrition assistants to ensure timely, quality patient service.

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures; maintain a clean work area.

  • Help with special meals or events; restock and organize supplies.

  • Report equipment issues promptly and follow all hospital policies.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 1+ year of food service or kitchen experience.
