The Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for protecting digital assets, supporting enterprise technology initiatives, and ensuring systems and applications align with cybersecurity and business requirements. This role combines cybersecurity, systems analysis, process improvement, and enterprise software implementation. The Cybersecurity Specialist will work closely with software developers, solution architects, technical vendors, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, map data and workflows, and support the implementation and integration of secure technology solutions.

This role combines cybersecurity, systems analysis, process improvement, and enterprise software implementation. The Cybersecurity Specialist will work closely with software developers, solution architects, technical vendors, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, map data and workflows, and support the implementation and integration of secure technology solutions.
Cybersecurity Specialist Responsibilities:
- Lead cybersecurity and technology projects, including planning, stakeholder coordination, resource requirements, and implementation.
- Gather, analyze, and validate business and technical system requirements.
- Perform systems analysis, data mapping, and process workflow analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Support enterprise software implementations, integrations, and technical product development.
- Collaborate with software developers, solution architects, technical vendors, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders.
- Support the development and improvement of Business Continuity Plans and resilience strategies.
- Analyze existing processes and recommend technology solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual steps.
- Work with enterprise software architecture, REST APIs, JSON, workflow automation, SQL, and relational databases.
- Understand technical implementations using languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
- Support cybersecurity monitoring, analytics, incident response, account security, and compliance activities.
- Utilize OpenAI and NotebookLM to analyze security datasets, improve response workflows, and identify compliance gaps.
- Provide guidance to less experienced cybersecurity professionals as needed.
- Ensure compliance with established cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
Cybersecurity Specialist Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Clinical Systems, or Financial Systems experience with a High School Diploma/GED, or 2+ years with a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with systems analysis and requirements validation.
- Experience with data mapping and process workflow analysis.
- Experience with enterprise software implementation and systems integration.
- Experience directing, planning, or scheduling a major information systems project.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, SQL, relational databases, and workflow automation preferred.
- Experience with enterprise software architecture or technical product development preferred.
- Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C# preferred.
- Experience with Business Continuity Planning and resilience strategies preferred.
- Experience using OpenAI and NotebookLM to analyze security datasets and identify compliance gaps preferred.
- Security+, PCI-ISA, SANS, ISC2, CompTIA, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications preferred.
