The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading initiatives involving talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, leadership development, employee relations, compensation, and change management across multiple locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the continued development of a high-performing Human Resources function across North America by strengthening organizational capabilities, developing HR talent, and building scalable processes that support business expansion.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to design and implement people strategies that advance organizational goals and business performance.
- Direct workforce planning, succession planning, organizational design, and talent management efforts.
- Oversee initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, organizational culture, leadership effectiveness, and overall organizational performance.
- Advise and coach leaders on employee relations, performance management, leadership development, and organizational change.
- Evaluate workforce trends, HR metrics, and people analytics to identify opportunities and support informed business decisions.
- Work closely with business leaders and HR Centers of Excellence to develop, implement, and enhance HR programs, policies, and solutions.
- Oversee talent acquisition efforts to attract, develop, and retain high-quality talent across the organization.
- Partner with stakeholders to support compensation and benefits programs through market analysis and workforce insights.
- Establish, maintain, and update Human Resources policies and practices to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local employment regulations.
- Promote effective utilization of HR technology and systems to improve operational efficiency, reporting capabilities, and the employee experience.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Human Resources team members while cultivating a collaborative, high-performing HR organization.
- Support company-wide initiatives, including performance management, employee engagement surveys, leadership development, and organizational transformation projects.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace that reflects organizational values and business objectives.
- Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of s of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 7 years supporting senior leadership and executive teams.
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement HR strategies that align with business priorities.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environments with both hourly and salaried workforces.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and Human Resources best practices.
- Experience utilizing HR analytics, workforce metrics, and data to guide strategic planning and organizational decisions.
- Proven track record leading employee engagement, organizational culture, leadership development, and talent management programs.
- Experience directing organizational design, succession planning, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing HR professionals across multiple locations.
- Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems, including ADP, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or comparable platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship management skills.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Experience supporting Canadian operations preferred.
