What You’ll Do

What You’ll Do
As an E-Coat Operator I, you will operate the electronic coat paint line system, including loading and unloading panels and large tanks. You’ll also support cabinet assembly for our sister site and assist in material movement using a forklift when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Break down and hang cabinet kits and various parts on the paint line, including covers, nut guards, and component parts.
- Unload painted parts onto pallets or carts without damaging the painted surface.
- Prepare and hang large transformer and regulator tanks.
- Select appropriate hangers and hooks to ensure safe operations.
- Apply and remove thread protectors and masking tape; inspect parts visually for quality and standard conformance.
- Operate equipment such as drop sections, shuttle cars, towers, and rotators to hang tanks, cubicles, and racks.
- Use control panels to select paint color and destination.
- Report non-conforming parts to supervision or team leads.
- Mark part numbers and apply paperwork as needed.
- Use stackers and forklifts to move materials to/from storage and staging areas.
- Load/unload materials into hook burn-off ovens.
- Ensure parts are loaded per production schedule requirements.
- Identify specialty units and communicate with painters to ensure accurate processing and on-time delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (now and in the future).
- Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered (excludes Active-Duty Military Service members).
Preferred Skills
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Ability to understand standard shop specifications (e.g., shop drawings, process sheets, measuring tools).
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed.
