Position Overview

The Epic Application Manager – Ancillary is responsible for managing a team of analysts who provide application support across the organization. This role ensures effective delivery of Epic system services, maximizes IT investments, and supports superior patient care, staff productivity, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations, assignments, and workload across the Epic support team.
  • Lead client-facing discussions to understand business needs and develop proactive solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and executive leadership to align projects, resolve issues, and maintain a positive departmental culture.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations for team members, supporting training and professional development.
  • Represent Epic and IT leadership in stakeholder and vendor meetings, providing timely updates and escalation support.
  • Oversee problem management, ensuring effective communication of issues impacting the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for application and process improvement to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage operational and capital budgets in alignment with approved plans.
  • Stay current on technology trends and healthcare requirements, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Information, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Advanced understanding of system concepts and IT problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across diverse audiences.
  • Proven organizational, leadership, and team management abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
