Equipment Logistic Technician

The Equipment Logistics Technician is responsible for ensuring the timely cleaning, distribution, and maintenance of medical devices and equipment throughout the facility. This role supports patient care by maintaining readiness and availability of critical equipment across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform targeted rounding in patient care areas to locate, recover, and redistribute medical assets.
- Clean, disinfect, and inspect medical equipment including infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, carts, and other durable medical equipment.
- Deliver and retrieve medical equipment as needed to support patient care units.
- Evaluate and document the condition of equipment, reporting issues or defects as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all work activities using an electronic database or tracking system.
- Order, stock, and deploy medical supplies to units and departments.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure equipment availability aligns with patient care demands.
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards while handling, cleaning, or transporting medical devices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a hospital, logistics, or medical equipment handling environment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and tracking tasks.
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to remain mobile and travel throughout the health system.
- Capable of operating computers, cleaning equipment, and other related devices.
- Must be able to move, transport, or lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and carts/beds weighing up to or exceeding 100 lbs.
- Ability to inspect, clean, install, repair, and maintain various types of equipment.
- Must be able to distinguish colors for accurate equipment evaluation.
- Effective communication to exchange accurate and timely information.
