The Extrusion Grinder will be responsible for sorting and processing materials by operating grinding machinery to produce pelletized material for re-extrusion. You’ll also perform equipment cleanouts, stage materials, follow production schedules, and assist with various production floor tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The Extrusion Grinder will be responsible for sorting and processing materials by operating grinding machinery to produce pelletized material for re-extrusion. You’ll also perform equipment cleanouts, stage materials, follow production schedules, and assist with various production floor tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Extrusion Grinder Responsibilities
- Separate and sort production sheets
- Box, label, and weigh inventory
- Follow grinding schedule and load materials into the grinder
- Operate grinding machinery to convert material into pellet form
- Tear down, clean, and reassemble grinding equipment
- Stage materials for upcoming jobs
- Participate in cross-training on production floor positions
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or GED required
- Production machine operation experience in any manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate a tow motor (forklift certification a plus)
- Proficient in reading and writing
- Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand tools (hammer, saws, nail gun, etc.)
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a general warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Capable of multitasking and self-organization
- Regular and punctual attendance required
- Previous experience in extrusion or plastic sheet processing is a plus
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to lift/move 50-100 lbs.
- Must have strong visual acuity including depth perception and color vision
- Ability to climb stairs and use catwalks multiple times per day
