The Finance & Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in building a best-in-class finance function, enhancing our use of Microsoft Business Central ERP, and driving visibility into our performance.
Finance & Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead daily accounting activities in line with GAAP and internal policies.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closes.
- Deliver monthly financial statements and performance reports.
- Develop customized reports that provide insights into KPIs and operational trends.
- Translate financial data into actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Serve as the internal ERP expert and primary contact with our outsourced IT provider.
- Optimize ERP usage, ensure data accuracy, and train internal users.
- Oversee troubleshooting, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Design and implement cost accounting processes and systems.
- Partner with operations and sales to improve pricing and costing strategies.
- Analyze margins and drive product-level profitability.
- Partner with the President on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Support cash flow analysis and scenario modeling.
- Contribute financial insights to strategic growth initiatives.
Finance & Accounting Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA strongly preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience, ideally in manufacturing or tech hardware.
- Strong communicator with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
- Have excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to identify mistakes.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to relate with all members of the team.
- Broad knowledge and experience in industry
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
