Financial Analyst Summary:
This role supports firm leadership and the finance team through financial analysis, reporting, pricing analysis, and ad hoc projects. The analyst will work closely with attorneys, leadership, and other departments to analyze financial trends, client and business performance, support pricing and RFPs, and prepare presentations and reports.

Financial Analyst Summary:
This role supports firm leadership and the finance team through financial analysis, reporting, pricing analysis, and ad hoc projects. The analyst will work closely with attorneys, leadership, and other departments to analyze financial trends, client and business performance, support pricing and RFPs, and prepare presentations and reports.
Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
- Prepare or provide information for periodic presentations of the CFO, COO, and/or Managing Partner.
- Perform ad hoc analysis that may be requested at periodic meetings held with leadership.
- Support the Pricing function by preparing related pricing analysis, rate renewals, and the annual exception rate process.
- Assist lawyers on analyzing their clients, books of business, developing business plans, identifying client targets, preparing their glory memos, assistance with RFPs.
- Assist with preparing presentations for PGL/OPIC leadership.
- Work with the marketing managers in supporting their function to the extent the information they need is owned by the finance department.
- This position may participate in office or department initiatives where a finance skill set is needed.
- Prepare client surveys where financial information is requested; facilitate preparation where appropriate.
Financial Analyst Qualifications:
- B.S. or B.A. in Business or Accounting required.
- 3 years of experience.
- Must have experience preparing or interpreting financial statements.
- Must have experience in analyzing financial trends and variances.
- Experience in the professional services industry in a client-facing capacity preferred.
- Experience with analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, Tableau, or Quantrix.
- Understanding of management accounting, including volume/variance analysis, cost accounting, and general terms used in the CPA profession.
- Understanding of data types and functions, specifically including text and lookup functions, and data structures, including the concept of tables, queries, reports, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including the following: sorting, filtering, subtotals, various functions and charts/graphs. The individual may have knowledge of databases (e.g., Microsoft Access) or other reporting software.
