Position Summary

The Onsite Senior Technician, Inventory (Glasswash Technician) is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining laboratory glassware and plasticware in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). This role supports laboratory operations by ensuring the timely availability of clean, compliant materials while maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and sterilize laboratory glassware and plasticware using automated washers, autoclaves, and manual cleaning methods
• Operate and maintain glasswash equipment, including troubleshooting minor issues and reporting major repair needs
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of cleaned glassware
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GLP, and safety guidelines for chemical handling and sterilization processes
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (cGDP)
• Monitor inventory levels of glassware, consumables, and cleaning supplies; notify supervisor of shortages
• Support laboratory staff by ensuring timely availability of clean glassware
• Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and laboratory safety standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory support, glasswash, or inventory-related role preferred
• Knowledge of inventory management and laboratory cleaning protocols
• Understanding of chemical safety, sterilization techniques, and glassware handling
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Documentation Practices (cGDP)
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team
