Pay: $52/hr ($1,872 weekly)

The ICU RN role is located in a 19-bed Neurosurgical ICU that provides specialized care for patients with acute stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), seizures, and post-surgical recovery requiring invasive intracranial pressure monitoring. Nurses will perform frequent neurological assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, and coordinate routine CT, MRI, and Angio procedures. Patient assignments are typically 2–3:1, and floating to other ICUs and step-down units may be required.

ICU RN Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to neurosurgical ICU patients, including stroke and seizure management.

• Perform frequent neurological and hemodynamic assessments.

• Monitor invasive intracranial pressure devices and maintain accurate documentation.

• Coordinate and prepare patients for imaging procedures (CT, MRI, Angio).

• Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and protocols.

• Maintain safe and effective patient assignments in a high-acuity environment.

• Float to other ICU and step-down units as needed.

ICU RN Requirements:

• Must have Neuro ICU experience.

• Must be available for straight weekend block scheduling.

• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required.

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
