We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to support engineering projects in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating technical drawings and process layouts that translate engineering designs into detailed plans for building products and structures. This role requires collaboration with engineers and other professionals to ensure design specifications are accurate, manufacturing-ready, and compliant with industry standards.
Industrial Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop and update 2D and 3D technical drawings using AUTOCAD.
- Analyze design sketches and specifications to produce detailed technical drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to clarify design specifications.
- Support manufacturing projects by preparing layouts, checking design accuracy, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Create and follow up on problem follow-up sheets to track project progress and resolution.
- Participate in tooling and equipment installation for manufacturing and prototype/pilot builds.
- Perform physical measurements and process mapping as needed to support production layouts.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project reviews across departments.
- Prepare executive presentations and analysis using Microsoft Office.
- Work overtime and weekends as required by project deliverables.
Industrial Engineer Required Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience; Automotive/Truck industry experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in AUTOCAD (2D and 3D).
- Experience in manufacturing processes, including line balancing, PFMEA, process mapping, and standard work.
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment installation.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
- Advanced mathematical skills and understanding of engineering principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Industrial Engineer Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Automotive/Truck manufacturing.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
