The chambers are coated with Plastisol lining material, and the coating is “cured” utilizing an industrial oven. Once coated, primer and paint are applied utilizing a paint spray gun in a spray booth. The position involves a great deal of forklift maneuvering. It also requires respirator usage for certain tasks.

Once coated, primer and paint are applied utilizing a paint spray gun in a spray booth. The position involves a great deal of forklift maneuvering. It also requires respirator usage for certain tasks.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze orders for accuracy and applicability.
- Inspect sandblasted steel structures for dents or areas needing additional preparation; repair or prep as required.
- Apply primer to prepare parts and structures for plastisol coating.
- Operate a forklift to hold and manipulate structures for coating.
- Apply plastisol to steel structures and use an industrial oven to bake the coating.
- Ensure complete, seamless, and even plastisol coating on all structures and parts, including chamber shell sides, edges, and troughs.
- Inspect coated steel structures for imperfections; repair or prep accordingly.
- Grind steel surfaces using hand-held grinders and tools to prepare for painting.
- Mix paint and hardeners correctly; apply primer and paint coats with a paint spray gun.
- Follow health and safety guidelines by wearing prescribed protective masks and/or breathing apparatus.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Document time and material usage for parts and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies.
- Actively seek to improve operations, reduce turnaround times, streamline processes, and work collaboratively to ensure quality customer service.
Qualifications
- Experience with autobody work, metal surface preparation, spray booth painting, paint guns, and/or working with an industrial oven (preferred)
- Ability to learn job-related tasks through oral instruction and observation
- Proficient in safely operating a forklift
- Skilled in accurately reading measuring instruments (rulers, tapes, gauges, etc.)
- Strong mechanical background with ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve operating errors
- Strong work ethic with consistent and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional technical training a plus
- 1–3 years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
