The Laboratory Technician will assists technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research.

The Laboratory Technician will assists technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research.
Laboratory Technician Responsibilities:
- Working in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings.
- Plant sampling, DNA extraction, high-throughput PCR, and laboratory inventory sample management.
- Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.
Laboratory Technician Requirements:
- BS in Science (Chemistry, Biology, or related fields) is strongly preferred. Those working toward a BS in Science with previous laboratory experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR.
- Must be familiar with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.
- 1 years+ prior relevant experience working in a research laboratory environment is required.
