The Linen Sort Technician will sort soiled linens for healthcare facilities and contracted clients according to established production standards.
Linen Sort Technician Responsibilities:
- Maintain production output that meets or exceeds department expectations.
- Assist with laundry production operations to ensure adequate linen supply for patient care and facility needs.
- Follow all workplace safety, health, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support various laundry production and distribution functions as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production goals.
- Comply with attendance, scheduling, overtime, and departmental policies.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum 8th grade education.
- Ability to read and write.
- Minimum 6 months of recent experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services (EVS), distribution, or other physically demanding work environments preferred.
- Candidates with demonstrated reliability and attendance in labor-intensive roles.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move linen carts and bags throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a hot industrial laundry environment.
