The Litigation Paralegal will support commercial litigation matters in Florida county and circuit courts and federal courts. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can manage deadlines, discovery, filings, and trial preparation with confidence.
Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, notices, motions, and other court filings
- Prepare deposition notices, materials, exhibits, and related summaries
- Organize and maintain case files, indexes, and key documents
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, courts, vendors, and opposing counsel
- Manage discovery, document productions, and e-discovery workflows
- Track deadlines and ensure timely court filings, including e-filing
Litigation Paralegal Requirements:
- 5+ years of defense-side commercial litigation experience in a law firm setting
- Degree and paralegal certificate preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Strong knowledge of Florida state and federal court rules and procedures
- Experience with discovery, document production, and trial preparation
- Proficiency with legal research, document management, and review platforms, including Westlaw, iManage, and Nuix/Ringtail preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Trial support experience, including use of Trial Director or similar software
- Strong understanding of the litigation lifecycle and the paralegal role from case opening through trial
