Machine Builder Overview:
The Machine Builder is responsible for constructing, wiring, and testing custom environmental test chambers for the product line. This role involves mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, plumbing installation, and system testing to ensure machines meet customer and ASTM specifications.

Machine Builder Responsibilities:

• Build technical equipment and machines according to blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

• Assemble mechanical components using hand and power tools.

• Install wiring and electrical components within control panels to specification.

• Layout and drill/tap holes for component and part installation.

• Install piping, fixtures, and attachments for air and water systems.

• Verify alignment, tolerance, and clearances of moving parts.

• Test completed machines to verify performance and conformance to specifications.

• Operate machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and saws as needed.

• Maintain inventory of component parts and document time/material used.

• Perform routine maintenance and keep all work areas clean and organized.

• Follow all safety policies and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Machine Builder / Requirements:

• Associate degree or technical training in a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, machine building, or equipment assembly.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

• Familiarity with ASTM specifications is a plus.

• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.

• Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend/stoop repeatedly, and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Safety-toe footwear and eye protection required. #INDCRS
