Seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a high-performing Maintenance Supervisor ready to step into broader leadership, ownership, and strategic responsibility. You will oversee equipment reliability, preventive maintenance programs, and a small team, while partnering cross-functionally to drive uptime, safety, and continuous improvement.
Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day maintenance operations, including scheduling, troubleshooting, and team coordination
- Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians; build bench strength within the team
- Own and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment
- Partner with production to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal disruption
- Manage outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and projects
- Track KPIs (downtime, MTBF, MTTR) and drive data-based improvements
- Support capital projects, equipment installs, and facility upgrades
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies
- Maintain spare parts inventory and support cost control initiatives
Maintenance Manager Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5–s of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1–3+ years of leadership experience (Maintenance Lead or Supervisor level)
- Strong troubleshooting capability across mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS preferred)
- Working knowledge of PLCs and automated equipment (troubleshooting level)
- Proven ability to lead from the floor while developing a team
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with production leadership
