The Maintenance Technician will be involved in the upkeep, repair, and adjustment of industrial machinery to allow for the daily running of the production process. Additionally, they will communicate with management regarding any problems that arise and assist in the planning of maintenance procedures.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and implement planned maintenance procedures.
- Conduct electrical installations and maintenance.
- Perform plumbing installations and maintenance.
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment.
- Maintain and repair boilers.
- Manage inventory of maintenance items, including piping, hardware, pumps, and related components.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent requried
- Industrial maintenance expertise
- Knowledge of industrial electricity
- Knowledge of industrial plumbing
- Boiler trades and HVAC
- Industrial instrumentation programming and maintenance
- Welding
- Hydraulics & pneumatics
- Rigging and millwright trades
- General carpentry skills
- Computer skills for automation and data entry
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing 50–75 lbs.
- Fine motor skills to handle small tools and components.
- Strong sense of balance for working at elevations or near moving machinery.
- Ability to climb and descend ladders and platforms.
- Ability to perform work overhead, at waist, and floor-level heights.
- Flexibility to crouch, kneel, bend, or squat while working on equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for the majority of the shift.
- Ability to operate, test, and run equipment to ensure maintenance tasks are completed successfully.
- Ability to work in varying conditions, including hot, cold, noisy, dusty, or strong odor environments.
- Ability to utilize hearing, vision, touch, and smell to evaluate operating machinery and equipment.
