Marketing & Visual Communications Designer Position Overview
The Marketing & Visual Communications Designer plays a critical role in shaping how the firm presents its work, services, and mission. This role blends graphic design, marketing strategy, and visualization development. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with two primary roles: 1) curate the firm’s brand identify across a variety of media and 2) support project teams by clearly translating design ideas into visual narratives and presentation deliverables.

Depending on experience and proficiency, candidates may also contribute to project visioning and design narratives, supported by market research, psychographics, and user needs. An architectural background is preferred but not required. Not every project will require full support from this role; however, the ideal candidate will be agile, adaptable, and capable of stepping in where visual and strategic guidance is needed.

Success in this role means consistently representing the firm's brand across all visual and marketing materials while elevating the clarity and professionalism of presentations and proposals. The Marketing & Visual Communications Designer will enhance project teams’ ability to communicate ideas by providing high-quality graphics, visual systems, and storytelling tools that deepen client understanding. Through strong design execution and cohesive branding, this role ensures the firm's mission, vision, and services are communicated clearly and effectively. Ultimately, clients will experience greater clarity, engagement, and confidence through improved project navigation, visualization, and narrative alignment with the firm's overall purpose.

Marketing & Visual Communications Designer Key Responsibilities

  • Create compelling visual narratives that convey design intent, development goals, and project outcomes.
  • Support digital and print marketing campaigns, including social media content, newsletters, website graphics, and outreach materials.
  • Ensure all marketing and visual materials reflect the firm's mission, values, and design philosophy.
  • Organize and maintain a library of brand assets, templates, and visual materials.
