Material Handler Overview:
This position will be responsible for quickly and accurately moving production materials and parts into and out of warehouse shelves, storage bins, and production locations. Receive and put away inbound deliveries. Pick and issue parts for production jobs. Make inventory and other transactions in the company systems and database with accuracy and timeliness. Ensure the warehouse is a safe, clean and efficient production work environment. Checks completed parts to ensure compliance to Worcester Plant Quality standards and makes necessary adjustments when required to meet quality goals.

Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Pack orders in the Parcel, Pack Center, and Flex Center pack-out stations using the Flagship system
• Utilize packing slips to:
  • Generate and print move tickets
  • Break down material and sort styles
  • Verify counts and restock warehouse locations
  • Use RF scanners to scan material, styles, locations, and re-verify counts
• Verify styles and quantities of picked materials
• Visually inspect products, scan items, and place them in shipping cartons
• Add appropriate packing materials to minimize product damage during shipping
• Apply packing lists, content labels, and shipping labels as needed
• Resolve discrepancies by researching all possible solutions to ensure order accuracy
• Maintain quality workmanship and follow all safety procedures
• Report unsafe acts and perform work of equal or lower classification as needed

Material Handler Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• One year of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
• Minimum 6 months of experience with a forklift, cherry picker, or reach truck
• Ability to work specific hours with flexibility for overtime based on customer demand
