Material Handler Overview:
As a Material Handler at Walton Plastics, you will play a key role in supporting production operations by efficiently moving materials throughout the facility. This position requires strong organization, teamwork, and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Training will include exposure to multiple production processes to ensure a full understanding of plant operations.

Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and move materials within the plant

• Prepare and stage materials for upcoming production jobs

• Band, pack, label, and weigh materials and pallets

• Assist with shipping and receiving of materials

• Process and complete related documentation accurately

• Operate hand tools such as hammers, circular saws, table saws, band saws, and nail guns

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

• Follow written safety procedures and company guidelines

• Support production and management teams as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Previous experience in a general warehouse or manufacturing environment

• Tow motor/forklift experience required

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally over 100 lbs

• Able to read and write clearly and interpret tape measures

• Proficient in basic math skills

• Ability to multitask, self-organize, and work effectively in a team environment

• Basic computer skills are a plus
