Medical Assistant 
Clearwater, FL

The Medical Assistant is responsible for playing a vital role in delivering quality care while working alongside physicians and nurses in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This opportunity offers the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities: 

  • Welcome patients and perform intake, documenting medical history and symptoms.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
  • Assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures.
  • Administer injections, immunizations, and medications within certification guidelines.
  • Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic diagnostic testing.
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain infection control standards.
  • Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure quality patient care.
  • Complete administrative duties including scheduling, documentation, and patient communication.

Medical Assistant Requirements: 

  • 1–3 years of back-office Medical Assistant experience.
  • Active CMA or RMA certification (or applicable state certification/registration).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to pass required TB screening.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and improving the patient experience.

Medical Assistant Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Professional phlebotomy experience.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR).
  • Knowledge of HEDIS and value-based care.
  • Experience administering vaccines and medications.
  • Familiarity with CPT/ICD coding and patient quality measures.
  • ARRT Radiologic Technologist license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
