Manufacturing Engineer
San Antonio, TX
$65–
Monday – Friday, 7 AM–4 PM

The Manufacturing Engineer will support plant operations through hands-on process setup, system integrations, MES/SCADA updates, and continuous improvement activities. This role is responsible for configuring, deploying, maintaining, and improving manufacturing systems while supporting cross-functional engineering and NPI teams. The Manufacturing Engineer will work directly on process design, lead system changes, coordinate with vendors, and ensure the successful execution of new product introductions.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to meet project deadlines and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform all MES-related changes, including configuration updates and deployments.
  • Support NPI efforts, including new introductions requiring MES configuration.
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation, execute training plans, and coordinate pilot builds.
  • Track and report issues identified during implementation and ensure successful resolution.
  • Maintain and present records/reports regarding MES changes and system updates.
  • Support changes related to the MRE system.
  • Communicate project status during scheduled reviews and escalate issues when required.
  • Define, manage, track, and report MES budgets for capital and expenses.
  • Coordinate design reviews with vendors, designers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers and Project Managers across all stages of projects to support team objectives.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the company or department.

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing with proven success in process setup and project execution.
  • Strong experience with SCADA and/or MES systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software (Minitab, MATLAB, or similar).
  • Ability to use SQL Server and perform queries to validate data.
  • Experience with ERP systems and simulation software.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams and projects.
  • Skilled in preparing and managing project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills for documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Adaptable and able to contribute across a variety of engineering and project-related tasks.
  • Previous experience in automotive, truck, or high-volume world-class manufacturing environments preferred. #INDCRS
