The Northeast Sales Account Manager will drive regional revenue growth by executing a sales strategy focused on residential installation markets through distributors and sales partners. This role builds and maintains strong customer relationships, supports and coaches channel partners, and identifies new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts. The position also involves onsite project support, market analysis, and regular reporting, with significant regional travel to support customers and partners.
Northeast Sales Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a regional installation sales strategy to drive revenue growth through sales partners and residential distribution channels.
- In partnership with regional sales leadership, monitor and support sales partners to ensure performance and value alignment. This includes assisting with goal setting, performance evaluation, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of installation-related products and services and effectively educate customers, distributors, and sales partners.
- Apply knowledge of regional residential installation and construction projects to support sales efforts.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospective customers through regular engagement, site visits, and needs assessment to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Achieve business growth objectives by developing new accounts, expanding business with existing customers, and introducing new products within assigned territories and target markets.
- Conduct onsite job visits, investigations, and product evaluations as needed. Candidates must be comfortable working on active construction sites and committed to a safety-first mindset.
- Prepare professional proposals and technical documentation; plan and deliver effective sales presentations; conduct customer meetings; and demonstrate product capabilities with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Provide detailed reporting on sales activity, pricing actions, results, and forecasts, while proactively communicating challenges and recommending creative solutions to management.
- Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and assess customer needs, including monitoring market trends, competitive activity, and emerging products or services.
- Drive success within the residential installation segment by leveraging industry relationships, identifying and securing key partnerships across the value chain, and coordinating efforts with distributors, sales partners, and internal support teams.
- Travel extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada (approximately 60%).
Northeast Sales Account Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of business-to-business sales experience within the construction or related industry, with strong technical aptitude and understanding of construction processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sales techniques and the full sales cycle.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate sales partners and distribution channels.
- Results-driven mindset with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Ability to clearly articulate product value propositions and differentiate offerings from competitors.
- Comfortable working remotely with strong self-motivation, organization, and time-management skills.
- Proficient in PC-based tools including CRM platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment while acting with urgency and accountability.
