The Occupational Therapist will work on a case load that is 50% Peds and 50% Inpatients.
Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care.
- 50% Peds and 50% Inpatients.
- Deliver quality therapy to help patients reach maximum functional level.
- Care for patients of all ages: neonate to geriatric.
- Treat orthopedic and neurological conditions in inpatient and peds settings.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students.
- Ensure compliance with standards of practice, payer regulations, and hospital policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking to provide safe, high-quality care.
- Maintain courteous, respectful, and professional customer service.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members and departments.
- Assist with daily operations and data collection in the medical fitness center.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and departmental information.
Occupational Therapist Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Science in Allied Health Professions in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license for Occupational Therapist in the State of Ohio.
- Ability to work variable days and hours as necessary.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy practices across multiple settings.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to multitask and complete assigned duties efficiently.
- Commitment to patient safety and professional standards.
