Onboarding Specialist
Cleveland, OH

 
 The Onboarding Specialist supports new caregivers throughout the onboarding process, from pre-hire through their first day. This role serves as a key point of contact for candidates and new hires, ensuring appointments, paperwork, and onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and passionate about providing a positive candidate experience.
 
Onboarding Specialist Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule onboarding appointments for new caregivers.
  • Communicate with candidates and new hires regarding appointments, required documentation, and next steps.
  • Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications.
  • Ensure all onboarding requirements are completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Complete administrative and data-entry tasks, including I-9 processing and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized onboarding records while following compliance requirements.
  • Provide professional, responsive customer service throughout the onboarding process.
  • Identify and address scheduling or documentation issues to help ensure a smooth transition to employment.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to coordinate onboarding activities.
  • Provide onboarding support at the main campus and, as needed, at CCAC 1–2 days per week based on staffing needs.
 
Onboarding Specialist Requirements
  • Previous experience in administrative support, customer service, recruiting, onboarding, or a healthcare-related environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable handling confidential employee information and documentation.
  • Strong computer skills with experience performing data entry and working with multiple systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple appointments, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, friendly, and customer-service-oriented approach.
