Packaging Technician Overview:

A leading agricultural chemical company has immediate openings for a Packaging Technician. The Job Purpose of a Packaging Technician is to package agricultural chemicals under the direction of an Operator or Supervisor. As a packaging worker, duties will include handling boxes, jugs, and other materials associated with packing operations. Compliance with site conduct, safety, security & environmental protection rules. Adhere to quality and productivity standards.


Packaging Technician Primary Responsibilities

• Various duties in support of formulation & packaging operations including batching, labeling, pulling, capping, boxing, wiping, stacking, etc...
• Maintain good housekeeping standards
• Adhere to quality and productivity standards. Required Qualifications 
• Must adhere to high safety and quality standards
• Demonstrated ability to understand and carry out instructions and training received
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend basic arithmetic functions

Packaging Technician Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass all required medical evaluations, which may include respirator clearance (if needed) and background checks
• Must be willing to work 10-12 hour rotating hour shifts and weekends
• Successful background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen required
• Manufacturing experience preferred

Packaging Technician Physical Qualifications

• Regular lifting and handling of material
• Climbing stairs up and down periodically required to perform the role
• Ability to lift at a minimum 50 lbs
